Launched in 2017 offering hip hop, trap and afro beats oriented sample packs Producer on da WAVE, becomes IDUN. A website dedicated to the creation of sample packs 100% dedicated to Afro Beats, Amapiano or even Fuji music. With the goal to promote traditional African sounds in modern Afro music productions, we’re constantly working to bring you exclusive, high-quality samples.
The story behind the name ‘’IDUN‘’
IDUN means “ sonority ” in Yoruba, a language spoken by over by over 50 million people.in Nigeria, Benin and Togo. This choice of name was primarily motivated by the Yoruba origins of the initiators of Producer on da WAVE, but also to pay tribute to the origins of Afro Beats. Indeed, Nigeria is widely regarded as the cradle of Afrobeats and the Yoruba language, which today reigns supreme over Afro Beat with artists such as Davido, Burna Boy and Wiz Kid.
